ESCO Turbine Technologies is an established
manufacturer of precision investment cast
components for the aerospace, industrial gas
turbines, micro-turbines, turbochargers and
premium industrial market segments. TT offers
customers cost reduction benefits by producing
and sourcing from the following locations:
United States, Mexico, Western Europe, Eastern
Europe, China and India. Comprehensive facilities
and extensive engineering experience,
backed by the strengths of the ESCO Corporation,
have enabled TT to become a major supplier
to OEMs.
ESCO Turbine Technologies (TT) has expertise
in a wide array of both air and vacuum alloys
that allows them to service the casting needs
of any application, from the stringent requirements
of the aircraft engine, power generation
and missile markets, to the low cost, high quality
commercial and turbocharger markets.
The ESCO facility, located in The Offshore
Group’s Roca Fuerte Industrial Park, operates
under the shelter services provided Maquilas
Tetakawi, S.A. de C.V. It is employs some of
the most original and advanced technologies
and processes in the machining industry. The
components for the turbines that the combine
manufactures consist of a variety of metal products
made with the lost wax process (investment
casting).
The process of investment casting starts by
molding the component in wax. State of the art
MPI injection presses provide repeatable process
parameters with successive baths of adhesive
mix and ceramic slurry.
The mold is then dried
and the metal is poured into it to produce the
part. A vacuum casting unit provides consistent
programmed pours every time. This plant began
operations in the year 2000 with 25 workers and
currently has 175 workers on three shifts.
