James Dickson

Mr. Dickson began employment with a major international aerospace OEM in Aug 1990 as a modern apprentice from secondary education. Throughout apprenticeship he gained training in numerous manufacturing cells with varied skills, enhanced with several personal development courses and an HNC in Mechanical Engineering.   He joined the Manufacturing Engineering department in 1997. During this period James provided a full complement of technical skills and support to Turbine Seals, Compressor Seals and Compressor Aerofoils and had taken the technical lead for many new product introduction programmes.  Mr. Dickson progressed to Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in 2004 and took on the Measurement Excellence lead role for the local business unit. The company then sponsored him through a Masters Degree in Operations Excellence in Cranfied and Cambridge University. During this time, he assumed the role of Team Technical coordinator in 2007, and, then again, changed to the role of Commodity Strategy Leader in 2008. He joined Trac Precision Machining in November 2008 as General Manager in Mexico. He has been in Mexico for several months setting up operations and transferring parts from the UK.
