Mr. Solís has worked for the past 15 years for the Mexican government in the area of industry and trade. His experience includes time spent with the “Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público” (Mexico’s equivalent to the U.S. Treasury Department. While working at this agency, he was active in determining the valuation of goods for trade and Customs purposes. At the Ministry of Economy, he headed the department that was charged with the task of investigating anti-dumping cases.
After having served as the Deputy Director of Research and Analysis for the automotive industry at the Ministry of Economy, he was appointed to the position of Director of Foreign Trade in Heavy and High Tech Industry. This assignment has as one of its focuses Mexico’s aerospace industry.
