Although the development of the Mexican aerospace industry is still in its early stages, it is evident that in a short period of time the country has made significant strides forward, and has become a noteworthy player on the global aerospace stage.  

According to U.S. Department of Commerce statistics, Mexico's aerospace-related exports have more than tripled since 2004, from $146.2 million to $683.2 million last year. Today Mexico is the world's 9th leading supplier of aerospace manufactures to the United States.  

As the volume of aerospace manufacturing in Mexico grows, so does the role that the southern Sonoran city of Guaymas plays in its development.  Today Guaymas is home to one of this nascent industry's largest clusters.
