Representatives of the Offshore Group's ownership and managerial staff play a pro- active and involved role in promoting the interests of client companies on an international, national and local level.
The Offshore Group works consistently, and in conjunction with other professionals, to monitor the actions considered and taken by taxation authorities in both the United States and Mexico, as they relate to maquiladoras operating under the Shelter Plan. Company staff makes regular trips to both Washington, D.C. and to Mexico City for the purpose of educating officials regarding the unique circumstances surrounding the operation of shelter maquiladoras. Additionally, the ownership of The Offshore Group plays a leadership role in organizations such as the Consejo Nacional de la Indústria Maquiladora de Exportación (The Mexican National Maquiladora Association or CNIME), the Confederación Patronal de la República Mexicana (The Confederation of Mexican Business Owners or COPARMEX), as well as the Cámara Nacional de la Indústria de Transformación (The National Chamber of Industry or CANACINTRA).
On the local level, the Offshore Group actively participates in the communities of which they are a part. Offshore Group staff participates in and supports activities conducted by local universities, technical schools and business organizations, as well as supports social programs and services administered by organizations such as the Mexican Red Cross. The Offshore Group proactively works to build and maintain good relationships with all local government entities in support of its client's activities at each of its locations.
