Powerbrace Corporation Hires John Swezey to Head Saltillo, Mexico, Operations

Geneva, IL – January 9, 2012 – Miner Enterprises, Inc., recently appointed John P. Swezey as General Manager of Powerbrace Corporation, replacing Mike Weber who has retiring.
Headquartered in Kenosha, WI Powerbrace is a wholly owned subsidiary of Miner Enterprises, Inc. Powerbrace is the premier manufacturer of door securement systems products serving the truck-trailer, intermodal, specialty, and truck body markets. In addition, Powerbrace manufactures Miner Discharge Gates and Brake Beams at their Rail Products Division, which operates under The Offshore Group’s Mexico Shelter Plan in Saltillo, Mexico.

Mr. Swezey’s professional career has progressed from Project Engineer at Chamberlain GARD, and then through positions leading to his being named Vice President of Engineering at GATX Corporation and, most recently, to Vice President and Chief Mechanical Officer at CIT Rail. He has led fleet maintenance, new car procurement, supply management, quality assurance, and engineering groups and has had P & L responsibility for a $150 million business operation. In every position Mr. Swezey has taken initiatives to improve operations and profitability through innovation and cost reduction.
