Jonathan Clare has been the British Consul in Monterrey since January 2007.  He is responsible for supporting UK commercial interests in aerospace, automotive, advance engineering and inward investment sectors 

Mr. Clare is a career diplomat. His previous overseas postings with the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) in political sections include: Lima (Peru), Caracas (Venezuela), Mexico City and Santiago (Chile). Has worked in London with special responsibilities for Andean Region (Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil). His first assignment in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office was in London on South Asia political desk for Afghanistan and Pakistan (1994-1998).

Jonathan Clare studied International Business Studies at Royal Holloway College, University of London. Post Graduate Course Studies in London School of Economics with Foreign & Commonwealth Office (1998). Married
